SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE! DEADLINE EXTENDED!Leave a Comment
To ensure the participation of local leaders who might not otherwise have the opportunity to attend the Summit, we will be offering a limited number of full scholarships to cover the cost of registration. The scholarship program targets nonprofits and individuals who represent and work with underrepresented groups, as well as emerging neighborhood leaders.
Full scholarships cover the Summit registration fee only ($125 for nonprofit employees and board members). Travel, parking, and lodging expenses are the responsibility of the scholarship recipient. The scholarship program is open for anyone to apply. However, priority will be given to individuals:
- Who work in or represent a low-income and/or minority community in Greater Pittsburgh or who represent an underserved demographic;
- Who make a good case for how the scholarship will contribute to the community development system and the overall health of Pittsburgh’s neediest neighborhoods
- Who demonstrate financial need in order to participate in the Summit.
In order to be considered for a scholarship, please complete the online registration form by Friday, April 10, 2015. Scholarship awardees will be notified via email by Friday, April 17 with instructions on how to register. Any other questions regarding eligibility and the application can be directed to Talia Piazza at firstname.lastname@example.org.
