Neighborhood Allies will receive a two-year, $300,000 grant from the KeyBank Foundation for revitalization efforts in the Upper Hill District.

With the funding, the organization will create a “Health Neighborhood Action Plan” to direct financial assistance and technical support, with hopes to leverage more than $1 million for development, according to a news release from Neighborhood Allies.

The group plans to form public-private partnerships to coordinate and invest in projects that boost homeownership rates, connect residents to employment and increase abilities of neighborhood community development corporations, according to the release.

“We’re pleased to support Neighborhood Allies and its community partners in the revitalization of Pittsburgh’s Upper Hill District,” said Todd Moules, market president for KeyBank. “This neighborhood investment is a part of our commitment to improve the communities that we serve.”
