Doni is officially a Leadership Pittsburgh LDI Graduate!Leave a Comment
Congratulations to our very own Doni Crawford on graduating Leadership Pittsburgh Inc.’s Leadership Development Initiative XXIV!
Earlier this month, Doni Crawford, our Program Manager for Research, Evaluation & Policy, graduated from Leadership Pittsburgh Incorporated’s Leadership Development Initiative (LDI) XXIV. Doni spent the last ten months participating in sessions intended to cultivate emerging leadership skills with other young professionals from around the region.
A core component of LDI is the PopUp! Pittsburgh community project, where LDI participants are encouraged to apply the leadership skills acquired from the sessions and textbook in a community context by planning a one day event in partnership with the community. Doni served on the Steering Committee of PopUp!, co-leading her class in the implementation of Inside Out Carrick, a public art installation based on a global art participatory project that captured the faces of Carrick residents to symbolize the past, present and future of the community.
“LDI afforded me the opportunity to cultivate my leadership skills primarily by working on a tangible community project with my classmates. In ten months, we not only were able to build trust and relationships within the Carrick community to execute this project but also with each other.”
Join us in congratulating Doni on completing this leadership program!
