Congrats to First Commonwealth Bank and KeyBank for having accounts newly certified!Leave a Comment
During the Bank On National Conference in DC in May, Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund (CFE Fund) announced that nine financial institutions now have accounts certified as meeting Bank On National Account Standards. Of those nine institutions, two do business in the Pittsburgh region. First Commonwealth Bank’s SmartPay Card and KeyBank’s Hassle-Free Account have both met this benchmark for safe, affordable products.
Bank On’s goal is to ensure that everyone has access to safe and affordable financial products and services. Bank On coalitions are local partnerships between municipal officials; city, state and federal government agencies; financial institutions; and community organizations that work to improve the financial stability of unbanked and underbanked residents. The Pittsburgh local Bank On effort is coordinated by the Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh, with the support of United Way and technical assistance from FDIC and Neighborhood Allies.
