Farmers’ Market Study Community Outreach
November 29, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
The City of Pittsburgh is performing a comprehensive analysis of the farmers’ market system that serves our residents: the eight markets that Citiparks operates, plus the 18+ markets operated by other organizations. The goal of this study is to understand the effectiveness of current markets throughout the city and develop a plan for growth that improves equitable access to fresh, affordable, culturally appropriate food, supports our regional food producers and promotes healthy eating choices for all residents. The aim of this study is to create recommendations for new market opportunities and policy changes that will allow us to reach our goals.
This community outreach event is your opportunity to hear about the work to date and provide feedback for the project.
